I work in national security and write about policy, strategy, and the decisions that shape public life. My interests also extend to fiction, poetry, memoir, and visual art. This site brings those different parts of my work together in one place.
Background
My work has moved between technical analysis, international affairs, and public policy. Across those settings, I have remained interested in how people make decisions when the evidence is incomplete and the stakes are real.
Outside of work
I write stories and personal essays and make abstract paintings. These interests give me another way to explore memory, identity, and ordinary experience.
